Mission Statement
Because God first LOVED us, our mission is to…WORSHIP GOD and develope personal, intimate relationships with God, to CONNECT PEOPLE by becoming lifelong disciples of Jesus and building relationships with our church family, and REACH THE WORLD by sharing the good news of Jesus with a lost world.
The Madison Youth Group is open for all students in grades 7-12. We offer a wide variety of Bible classes and activities throughout the year like retreats, Winterpalooza, summer camp, Impact, and Sunday and Wednesday night Bible classes. We fully believe in our mission statement of WORSHIP GOD, CONNECT PEOPLE, and REACH THE WORLD.

Where do I begin? First and foremost, you must know that I am supported by an incredible, behind the scenes wife, Jennifer. Like many minister’s wives, Jennifer is often labeled as the youth minister’s wife or Jon Micah’s wife. She’s SO much more! God has given me the energy and passion for ministering to families and has blessed me with a wife that supports that calling. Just before graduating from Lipscomb University, Northside Church of Christ brought me on part-time until I could proceed in full-time work - I worked with the Northside Church of Christ for just over seven years before recently heading down the street to Madison. God has opened new and exciting doors! Although families are my passion – I’m thrilled to begin the process of developing young men’s ministry designed to encourage and persuade young men to take on the challenge of becoming the Godly young men, committed husbands and devoted fathers that God has called them to be! I’m currently in the process of completing my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Trevecca and can’t wait to use it as a tool for ministry! On behalf of my family – thank you for the warm welcome to the Madison family! Jon Micah’s Myspace

Having been at Madison since 1996, I’ve really found a spiritual family here. I love working with the MYG and the college-age students both, and it’s really hard to see myself doing anything else. Some of my favorite things in the ministry are having Sunday Night Live and College-age activities at my house (it’s so much fun being with people in a home setting), the Jamaica mission trip, Impact, girls’ retreat, and camp. When young people open their hearts to the Lord and the “light goes on”, it’s something that just fuels me to do what I do. I’ve been blessed to teach a few Bible classes at Lipscomb, and this semester I have 9 former MYG’ers and visitors in my class! My children, Kendon and Easton, have been greatly blessed by this church and student ministry family, and hopefully have blessed others as well. We are so grateful to be a part of this body of believers and we’re so excited about what the future holds. I’m thankful that God is using me in spite of myself as a vessel in this ministry. My position in the Student Ministry is to be the “behind the scenes” support for the ministry team, students, and parents. I am in the office daily to answer questions, give directions, mail needed items, etc. In addition to my job with this ministry, I serve as a Coach for the Class of 2010, of which my daughter is a member. I am also the parent of two MYG graduates. It is an absolute pleasure to work with this group of people. Their genuine love for the teens at Madison is evident in all they do. I am here to help you in any way I can.
